genevieve hatton, Wednesday, June 03, 2009, 11:11 PM

i have been making this recipe for years (got it out of a flyer in the newspaper). people at work beg me to make a big ****! when i make this, i make a big ****, probably triple the recipe. i add a few table****ns of flour when sauting the vegetables, it helps thicken the soup when you add the milk. definitely add the ham, or cooked chicken. then finish it off with some tabasco jalapeno green sauce, just to give it the wow factor! so good at the holidays and these cold nights!
barb miller, Tuesday, December 18, 2007, 6:45 PM

i live in the united kingdom and am unable to find cream corn, how do i make it?
ann adams, Wednesday, January 23, 2008, 5:20 AM

i've been using this recipe for over 15 years; i got it on the inside label of a can of one of the delmonte vegetables. it's the best way to use up all the little ham s****s after thanksgiving or christmas and perfect for the fall and winter....i like patricia's idea of using bacon and then you could drain off most of the fat and use that to saute the celery & onion...yum!
